Meet Cristine steele, lmft, dartt, pmh-c
Ready to feel like yourself again?
I specialize in helping parents, couples and therapists get to the root of their issues through focused, deep therapy sessions and multi-day intensives. Whether you see me in West Seattle or online in Washington and Tennessee, we will do the deep work required to create lasting change.
let me be the first to tell you:
You’re not broken.
I am a relational, trauma-informed therapist dedicated to help overwhelmed parents, couples and other therapists who are ready to dive in and do the work, but without years of endless talk therapy. My approach blends attachment theory, Brainspotting, IFS, inner child work and somatic therapy to help you access the root of your burnout, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma to create meaningful and lasting change.
I believe symptoms make sense when we understand the developmental and relational roots underneath them. That means we may explore what is happening now, how your nervous system learned to protect you, and what your body and various parts of yourself may still be carrying from earlier experiences. My style is warm, direct, and structured — I offer enough support to go deep, and enough focus to help you integrate what you uncover into real life.
How I work
Therapy that respects your time.
The commitment of weekly therapy for busy parents and professionals is often unsustainable.
I provide depth-oriented therapy, offered in 90-minute and 3-hour sessions, alongside 3+ day intensives. Together, we identify the areas causing the most distress in your life and start with those.
You carve out the time, and I provide the clinical roadmap of how to get you to where you want to go.
We are a good fit if —
You’re tired of weekly therapy that feels slow or surface‑level and are ready for deeper, embodied work.
You’re dealing with stuck patterns, intimacy blocks, or old family/relational wounds.
You’re ready to set aside focused time and want to work intensively, not casually.
You’re comfortable with somatic, nervous‑system work and are willing to feel your emotions, not just talk about them.
We may not be a good fit if —
You’re in an acute crisis, actively suicidal, or needing immediate stabilization or 24/7 safety support.
You’re only looking for short‑term symptom management or “quick fixes” without wanting to touch deeper patterns.
You’re not ready or able to commit the time and emotional energy required for in-depth sessions or intensives.
Therapy with me is —
-
We go deep into your story so you can properly address the root issues driving your exhaustion and relationship patterns today. By moving beyond surface-level talk, we create the space needed for true, profound healing.
-
Therapy doesn’t need to last for years. I offer a depth-style format designed to address the specific areas of your life that aren’t working. My clients typically schedule 1-2 multi-day intensives per year. For ongoing support, they opt for bi-weekly 90-minute sessions or a once-a-month 3-hour session. The rest of the time, you are out in the world, integrating the work on your own.
-
I offer customized therapy intensives and pull from modalities—like Somatic therapy, IFS, and Brainspotting—that help you deeply focus on your internal world. Your healing roadmap is designed specifically around your unique capacity and nervous system.
-
You will feel my warmth, but you will also know that I can handle the hardest things you have been through. Your pain is never "too much" for me. Together, we will safely work through it so you can step back into your life feeling physically lighter.
