A Different Kind of Healing
A Different Kind of Healing
This isn't traditional talk therapy.
This is experiential, body-based, transformative work that goes to the root of who you are and how you were shaped.
We'll map your family of origin experience—not to stay stuck in the past, but to understand how those patterns show up in your present life and relationships today. Everyone has trauma. Everyone adapted in a "less than nurturing family." The question is: How do you heal it?
Through breathwork, body-based interventions, mindfulness, and experiential processes, you'll release stored energy, develop nervous system capacity, and cultivate a Functional Adult Self that can guide you toward the life and relationships you deserve.
The Six Core Skills You’ll Learn
-
Learn to love and value yourself—not based on what you do, but who you are.
-
Protect yourself physically and emotionally through internal boundaries.
-
Create and know your authentic self—your thoughts, feelings, needs, and wants.
-
Take responsibility for caring for yourself in healthy, sustainable ways.
-
Contain and moderate yourself—avoiding extremes and finding balance.
-
Handle your needs and wants with others in mature, connected ways.
What You’ll Walk Away With:
-
Clarity on your story
how you adapted in your family and how those patterns show up today

-
A regulated nervous system
capacity to stay present, grounded, and calm in triggering moments

-
A Functional Adult Self
a wiser part of you that can re-parent your wounded parts

-
Release of stored trauma
Energy that’s been stuck in your body finally moves

-
Healthier Relationships
the ability to show up authentically, set boundaries, and connect deeply

-
A Roadmap for continued growth
skills and practices that support you long after the program ends

What happens in the 3-day Healing Our Core Issues Intensive?
This specialized approach invites you to interact with your story with fresh eyes.
-
You will complete the Developmental and Relational Trauma Assessment. Together, we will use a process called “Getting Your Story Straight” to fully understand your own childhood story, and begin assigning rightful responsibility to your parents.
-
You will choose two memories that were particularly hurtful to you in childhood to reparent and reprocess. This will be pivotal work in changing how you show up for your younger, historical selves.
-
With this experiential empty chair work, you will speak from your functional adult self to your parents. You will tell them what you needed as a child, how their parenting or lack of parenting still effects you and your relationships today. You will identify ways in which you were shamed and actively give back the shame you have carried for the majority of your life.

together, we will:
Explore
We will explore the unfiltered narrative of your childhood. This process is not about blaming parents, but about rightful assignment of responsibility. You were a child and did need to be taken care of by loving and capable parents. You deserved to know you had intrinsic value, to be seen and loved unconditionally. You needed parents who were emotionally mature and functional adults.
Re-parent
As a functional adult, you will re-enter scenes from childhood and offer support to your younger self in the exact way you needed it. This is extremely therapeutic inner child work. You know exactly what you needed as a younger child and teen. Part of this re-parenting process is being able to give the younger parts of you what they didn’t get growing up.
Have your back
The result of this process is that you ‘grow up’ those younger parts that have been running your life. You accept the story of your childhood for what it was, and begin to show up for yourself in the ways you needed back then. You live from a place of knowing your intrinsic value, implement healthy boundaries, accept that you are human, experience joy and interdependence with others.

The intensive itself is designed to be facilitated in a small group format of people. It is 3 full days.

You are ultimately in charge of your own healing journey. I understand your hesitations about participating with others, but before you rule it out, let’s have a conversation. This intensive can also be offered as a 1-1 therapy intensive.
-
If you are not already a client of mine, I require at least a 90 minute pre-intensive session in order for us to build rapport and get to know you and what you are specifically hoping for with the intensive. I have materials for you that can help lay the ground work for this particular intensive.
-
After deciding this intensive is right for you, you will fill out a Developmental and Relational Trauma Assessment, which is foundational for our work in the intensive.
Required reading also includes “How to do the Work” by Dr. Nicole LePera & I will send you a workbook.
-
Embrace a self-compassion practice
Practice body awareness of triggers or activation
Engage with your support system
Practice self-regulation with breathing or mindfulness
Lead with curiosity instead of judgment
-
Not a problem! I am very collaborative and provide adjunct therapy for clients all of the time. Just reach out and we can discuss how this can work for you.
-
Intensives are billed at an hourly rate starting at $250. The total investment will depend on if you sign up for a 1-1 intensive or a small group intensive at a retreat location. For your budgeting purposes, you can expect to invest $1800-$2600. Keep in mind that intensives allow you to process much more material than you do in a typical weekly session. The investment is up front, but the shifts and changes in your relationships will continue to show up after the intensive is complete.
