Helpers Who Parent Support Group

Virtual peer support group for moms who are caregivers at home and work.

You hold space for others all day, then come home to hold space for your own children.

You've mastered the art of active listening in your office, only to find yourself touched out and overstimulated by the time you arrive home. You give empathy professionally, then wonder if you have enough left for your own kids. You understand trauma-informed parenting in theory, but applying it at 3 AM or during a public meltdown? That's a different story.

You're navigating something most people don't talk about: the weight of being both the helper and the parent. You carry other people's stories while creating a childhood for your own family. You recognize burnout in your clients but might miss it in yourself. You know all the "right" techniques, yet still lose your patience. And sometimes, the hardest part is that you expect yourself to do this better than everyone else—because you're the professional.

You're not alone in this.

Helpers Who Parent is designed for mental health professionals, therapists, counselors, social workers, teachers and other helping professionals who are also parents. Whether you're managing the dual identity of caregiver at work and home, struggling with compassion fatigue while raising children, or seeking community with others who understand the unique challenges of this intersection, this space is for you.

What We’ll Talk About:

  • Compassion for everyone, including ourselves

  • Boundaries - internal & external

  • Unmet Needs & Boundaries

  • Nervous System

  • Practical Tools

  • Protecting Your Family & Processing Your Work

  • Rest, Support & Systemic Change

  • Myth of the Perfect Helper-Parent

  • Sustainable Self-Care

What You’ll Walk Away With:

  • Validation that being a helper who parents is hard—and you’re not failing

  • Language for the things you’ve felt but couldn’t name

  • Practical coping strategies for navigating your dual identities with more ease

  • Self-Compassion - an invitation to be imperfect and struggle

  • Community Connection with those who are real, honest, and supportive

  • Relief from carrying this alone

You’ll be in good company if you are struggling in isolation and feel on the brink of losing it. This group is for parents who are real & honest, while also wanting to gain some tools and have a space to breathe. No promises, but you will likely walk away with a newfound community.

You give so much to others. This group is where you receive.
